Starting from Aix-les-Bains on the edge of the Lake Bourget, this adventure bike tour crosses the mountain ranges of the Aravis, Mont-Blanc, Mont-Cenis, Vanoise and Western Piedmont. Local knowledge
For both safety and organizational reasons, it is strongly recommended to practice off road riding with a tour guide. Our local knowledge and experience are the key to ensure the feasibility of this tour from both technical and regulatory points of view.
Tour guide
The experienced French and English speaking tour guide manages the group, adapts to the speed and interests of the riders, and can resort to plan B when the weather conditions or unpredictable problems in the high mountains come up.
Small group tours
In order to fully enjoy the ride in a safe, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, we operate small group tours from 6 to 8 riders maximum.
Useful information
Experience
With daily distances between 170 and 200 km and about 40% off road, you have to know how to handle tight corners and hairpins on a dirt road with a dual sport or adventure bike.
Dual sport and adventure bikes
Our off road tours are open to adventure bike riders on any type of dual sport and adventure bikes such as GS, Africa Twin, Vstrom, Ténéré, Tiger, KTM Adventure… We strongly recommend that you install protection parts on your motorcycle (crash bars, skid plate, handguards…). All our adventure bike rentals are kitted out with protection parts from our partner Outback Motortek.
Tires
We advise you to use adventure motorcycle tires combining grip and comfort on and off the road (Continental TKC 70, Heidenau K60, Mitas E-07, Michelin Anakee Wild…).
Riding gear
We recommend to wear protective riding gear offering comfort and protection on and off the road: helmet, jacket, pants, gloves and boots.

Our off road motorcycle tour in France & Italy starts on the dirt roads of the Bauges and Aravis Mountains. The adventure bike ride continues on the paths of the Mont Blanc Massif. There, right in front of you, is a breathtaking view of the roof of Europe! Rich in sensations, the day’s off-road itinerary ends in Beaufort, cradle of the Beaufortain Valley and capital of the eponymous cheese… Because a mountain territory has to be tasted as much as it has to be visited, it will be a gourmet evening in Beaufort!
Today, our motorcycle trail ride in the Alps will lead you to the dam of Saint-Guérin, then to the Cormet d’Arêches which, through a network of superb off-road tracks links the Beaufort Valley with the Tarentaise Valley. Take another step up, by climbing to the top of the highest road pass in Europe: the Iseran Pass at 2,770m. The superb tracks of the Mont Cenis Massif lead you to Susa Valley in Italy where you spend the night surrounded by mountains… A great riding day on our off road motorcycle tour in France & Italy!
The off-road motorcycle tour in the Alps continues in Italy with the ascent of the Finestre Pass at 2,176m. Then we ride the Strada dell’Assietta, an old military road that runs for over 40 km, from passes to passes culminating at nearly 2,500m, and offering outstanding 360 degree panoramas. One more climb up to the Sommeiller Pass, the highest motorized track of Europe at nearly 3,000m! Here, the landscape is mineral and the silence is deep! Overnight near Briançon, highest town in France, famous for being fortified by Vauban in the 17th century…
Our off road motorcycle tour in France & Italy continues on the Emparis Plateau in front of the most spectacular view on the Meije and its glaciers. Rivers, torrents, waterfalls, lakes with transparent waters… the scenery is splendid! The adventure bike tour in the Alps is coming to an end, appeased, you will happily reach the shores of the Lake Bourget!
